Havre High School and area athletes began training and conditioning on Monday to prepare for the fall sports season.
Girls basketball, football and cross country all began Monday.
At Havre, the Blue Pony basketball team, under direction of head coach Dennis Murphy, began two-a-day practices. Last season, the Blue Ponies finished in a loser-out contest Saturday morning at the State Class A tournament.
The Havre High football team, under head coach Dan Olson, also began two-a-day practices Monday. Olson, in his second year at Havre, looks to fill a key spot at the quarterback position with the loss to graduation of standout Matt Kegel.
The cross country team met Monday night at 7:30 p.m. to begin training for the fall season. New head coach, Kim Ray, looks forward to leading the team.
