Trulock obituary

GORDON A. TRULOCK

LIBBY Gordon A. Trulock, 75, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at a Libby hospital.

Services will be held 3 p.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Inernment with military honors will be in the City of Libby Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home and from noon to 2:45 p.m. Monday in the Relief Society Room of the LDS Church.

Trulock was born March 25, 1924, at Paxton, to Judson and Ruby Trulock. He was raised and educated in Eastern Montana. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in December of 1941. He served with the Army Air Corps in the European Theater during WWII. He had been a Bronze Star recipient. Following his honorable discharge in 1945, he returned to Montana.

He had lived throughout the country working at various jobs and also working as a professional musician. He resided in Havre, working on the road crew for Hill County.

On Nov. 19, 1961, he married Dorothy Freier at Havre. The couple later moved to Bremerton, Wash., where he was employed at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyards for many years until his retirement. They had resided in Southern Utah until moving to Libby five years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Libby; children, Fred Brooks of Elko, Nev., L.D. Dean Brooks of Las Vegas, Nev.; Robin Trulock of Great Falls, and Lee and Sheila Trulock; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Nelson & Vial Funeral Home of Libby is in charge of arrangements.
