A 16-year-old Havre girl died Friday morning of injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle rollover on Fresno Reservoir Road Thursday morning.
Samantha Jo Molenda girl was southbound in a 1988 Chevrolet Blazer at about 8 a.m. when the Blazer drifted off the right side of the road. Molenda steered the Blazer back onto the road, according to the investigating highway patrol officer, and then lost control of the Blazer. The Blazer went off the left side of the road, rolled multiple times, and came to rest in a field. Molenda was ejected from the Blazer, the patrolman reported.
She was taken to Northern Montana Hospital by a Havre ambulance that was called to the scene about 12 miles west of Havre shortly after 8 a.m. She subsequently was flown to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, where she died the next morning.
