Members of American Legion posts in District 2 are scheduled to meet Sunday, Oct. 17, at the RNA Hall in Chester.
Valerian J. Dolezal, commander of the Chester American Legion Post, said he expects about 50 legionnaires and members of the American Legion Auxiliary to attend.
Nearly 500 Legionnaires compose the 10 posts of Havre, Rocky Boy, Chinook, Big Sandy, Malta, Hogeland, Saco, Chester, Turner and Fort Belknap in District 2.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. with the oratorical seminar starting at 10:30 a.m. The Veterans Benefits Information Workshop is scheduled for 11 a.m.
Department Vice Commander Art Ellison of Anaconda will be the special guest speaker at a joint banquet at noon.
Business meetings begin at 1:30 p.m. with District 2 Commander Louis DePuydt of Saco conducting the Legion meeting and District 2 President Verda Klindworth of Harlem conducting the Auxiliary meeting.
