The clash between the last two Class C state champions, Big Sandy and Box Elder, was moved to Wednesday night with the Pioneers staying unbeaten in an 88-28 win.
Big Sandy jumped out quick, and led 38-6 after one quarter of play. By halftime the Pioneers were up 57-8. Big Sandy rolled through the second half to get the win.
Amy Silvan led the way for the Pioneers with 27 points. The Bears were led by Tessie Lamere who had 12 points.
Thursday night in Class C action, Chester drilled Brady 77-34.
The Coyotes took a 21-10 lead after the first quarter, and never looked back. Chester kept the pressure on in the second quarter, and led 33-20 at halftime. Chester outscored the Bulldogs 21-6 and 23-8 in the third and fourth quarters, respectively, to get the win.
Michelle VanDyke led the way for the Coyotes with 23 points.
KG slipped by Whitewater on Thursday night 48-44.
The KouGars held Whitewater to just two points in the first quarter en route to a 20-13 halftime lead. KG added to its lead in the third, but Whitewater came back and outscored the KouGars 15-8 in the fourth.
Jennifer Siefert led all KG players in scoring with 23 points.
On Friday night, the Blue Sky Eagles flew past Sunburst, 58-40.
The Eagles took a 12-9 lead after one quarter of play, and never looked back. At the break, Blue Sky led, 23-16. Blue Sky had a slight scoring advantage in the third, and outscored the Refiners 20-10 in the fourth.
Katie Spicher was Blue Skys high point scorer as she drilled 17.
J-I fell to Dutton, 50-31, in 10C action Friday night.
Dutton held the Rams to just three points in the first quarter, as they took a 14-3 lead. Going into the locker room, the Cardinals had pushed their lead out to 27-7. It was more Dutton in the second half as it cruised to the win.
The Rams were led by Angela Peek who had seven points.
Rocky Boy was toppled by Highwood Friday night, 52-48.
The Morning Stars had the slight scoring edge at the end of one, 9-7. Highwood came out strong in the second and took the lead at halftime, 23-18.
Both teams scored 10 points in the third, and Rocky Boy had a slight scoring edge in the fourth, but it was not enough to beat the Mountaineers.
Lindsey Harris led the way for Rocky Boy with 19 points.
Hays-Lodgepole picked up a win over Roy on Friday night, 81-61.
The Thunderbirds led after one, 23-10. Hays-Lodgepole kept it up in the second, as it rolled out to a 41-26 halftime lead. The T-Birds flew through the second half of the game en route to the win.
Chelsey Kirkaldie led the way for the T-Birds with a game-high 35 points.
The Chester Coyotes picked up their second win of the weekend as they slammed Heart Butte on Saturday night, 95-53.
Chester took no time putting the game away as it rushed out to a 27-9 lead after one. The Coyotes built a 54-19 lead at halftime. The Coyotes cruised through the second half and got the win.
Van Dyke again led the way for the Coyotes with 27 points.
KG held Sunburst scoreless in the fourth quarter to get a 48-21 win on Saturday night.
The KouGars took a 12-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. By halftime, KG had pushed its lead out to 25-11. KG outscored Sunburst 13-10 in the third and 10-0 in the fourth for the win.
Kim Berg had 12 points to lead the way for the KouGars.
Box Elder slipped by Dodson in overtime Saturday night, 56-54.
Dodson jumped to a 17-15 lead after one. The Bears stayed strong in the second, and came back to take a 29-27 halftime lead. Dodson came back in the third to take a two-point lead, and the Bears fought back in the fourth to tie the game at 47-47 at the end of regulation. Box Elder got the job done in overtime to get the win.
Tammy Infante led the way with 19 points for the Bears.
Box Elder head coach Mark Irvin said it was a good, close game. Irvin said after losing three games in a row, it was a big win for his team, plus the fact it counted as a conference game.
The Bears have been banged up this season, but with the return of a starter and key bench player, Irvin said, they want to stay healthy the rest of the way and finish out the season strong.
The Bears have next weekend off, but then face Blue Sky the following Friday night.
Blue Sky blasted J-I on Saturday night, 56-35.
The Eagles took a 19-6 lead after one. The Rams fought back in the second to cut the Blue Sky lead down to 26-15. It was all Blue Sky in the third, as it outscored J-I, 16-4. The Eagles held on in the fourth to get the win.
Carlye Redding and Lindsey Letang each had 12 points for the Eagles. Peek had a game-high 19 points for the Rams.
