Chinook splits during the week, looks to control Havre Tuesday

By Rob Everingham

Chinook downed Cut Bank 66-41 on Tuesday.

Rhenda Birky drilled a season-high 28 points to lead the way for Chinook.

Chinook fell to Wolf Point last weekend, 58-47.

The Beeters were led by Kelsie Whitney who had 12 points.

Chinook head coach Bill Keller said that everything they did right on Tuesday night they did wrong against Wolf Point.

Chinook has two tough contests ahead of them, as they host Havre on Tuesday evening, and then travel to Glasgow on Friday.

Keller said they are two huge games for the team. He said that, after playing Havre close the first game, they will try to handle the Blue Ponies defensive pressure and control the tempo.
