HELEN MORRISSEY
Helen F. Morrissey, 81, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, in Chester of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in Hingham, with Father Joe Diekhans officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Havre.
Morrissey was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Chester, to Vincent E. and Alice (Malone) Horinek in Hingham. She attended schools in Hingham, graduating from high school in 1937. She attended the Chinook College of Beauty for two years and became a licensed beautician. She returned to Hingham to open her own business, Helens Beauty Shop and ran it from 1939 to 1992.
On April 28, 1947, she married John Morrissey in Hingham. The couple resided there.
Morrissey was a member of Our Lady of Ransom Church and Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, in 1986, her parents and two brothers.
Survivors include daughters, Colleen Higgins of Sun River, and Katherine A. Harrington of Casper, Wyo.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
