Vosen obituary

RICHARD VOSEN

KREMLIN -- Richard George Vosen, 87, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel in Havre with the Rev. Tim Hauge officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Vosen was born Aug. 29, 1912, at Royalton, Minn., to Conrad and Louise "Lucy" (Wischnewski) Vosen. The family moved to Montana when he was six weeks old and homesteaded north of Box Elder. He attended Lindstrom Country School and Kremlin School. He worked for an area farmer and also as a mechanic.

On Aug. 4, 1936, he married Nora Elvena Frey. The couple farmed south of Kremlin until his illness forced him to retire.

He enjoyed visiting with his grand and great-grand children and friends, camping, playing cards, dances and farming. He was a member of the Eagles Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Olivia (Sister Louise) and Mabel Mowan, and a brother, Roy Vosen.

Survivors include his wife, Nora, of Kremlin; a son, John (Skip) Vosen of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; a daughter, Lorraine Beck of Havre; a brother, Ralph Vosen of Coleville, Wash.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Kremlin Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
