Shrauger, Matter, Murphy shine for Havre Blue Ponies

By Tiffany L. Rehbein

A group of over-achievers with not one outstanding player, but 10 very good players, a.k.a., the 1999 Havre Blue Ponies team.

Alyssa Matter, Tiffany Shrauger, and head coach Dennis Murphy were recognized for their abilities in the Central A.

Matter, a junior, was named to the first team All-Conference and All-State. Although Matter never led any categories in the division, she held a place in almost every category.

Shrauger, a senior, earned an honorable mention spot. Her accolades include bests in scoring, free throw percentage, 3-point goal percentage, and 3-point goals made.

Murphy was named coach of the year.
