WARREN LOVELAND
Warren M. Loveland, 86, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at a Havre care center of natural causes.
Memorial services were held this morning at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Robert Grosch officiating. Burial was held at Highland Cemetery with military graveside honors.
Loveland was born Oct. 8, 1913, in Lignite, N.D., to Omar and Ida (Hanson) Loveland. He graduated from Lignite High School. He moved to Havre when he was young and went to work for the Coca Cola Company. He was inducted in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in 1942. He served in Africa and the European theater of operations. He was honorably discharged in 1945.
On July 18, 1945, he married Marion Sticka in Vancouver, Wash. The couple returned to Montana and he went to work at Eddy's Bakery where he retired after thirty years of service.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and bowling on the Eagles bowling team. He was a member of the Elks, the Vet's Club, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Fred, Jerry and Orville Loveland, and a sister, Doris Himes, all of Portland, Ore.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Sticka Loveland of Havre; a son, Terry Loveland of Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Northern Montana Care Center or to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements and services are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
