REVA LONG

TURNER -- Reva Long, 86, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Turner American Lutheran Church with burial at the Turner Cemetery.

Long was born June 8, 1913, in Meeker County, Minn., to Thingly and Christine (Peterson) Bengtson. She attended rural school at Black Coulee located north of Dodson and worked for various farms and ranches in the Turner area.

In 1938, she married Robert Long in Malta. During his service in WWII, she resided in Minnesota. After the war the couple returned to Turner. They later purchased a farm southeast of Zurich. They retired and moved to Chinook in 1975. He died in 1979.

For the last year and a half she had been a resident of the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook and at Northern Montana Care Center in Havre.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include sons, Frank Long of Firnley, Nev., Roger Long of Anaheim, Calif., and Leo Long of Chinook; a brother, Anson Bengtson of Libby; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
