SHIRLEY COMP
Shirley F. Comp, 87, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at a Havre care center of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Big Sandy Cemetery with the Rev. Connie Cranston officiating.
Comp was born July 17, 1912, in Detroit, Mich., to Frederick and Jesse (Killean) Durrant. She was raised and educated in the Detroit area.
In 1930, she married Wilbur G. Comp. The couple lived in Detroit until 1969 when they moved to Placerville, Calif., where they managed the Hang Town Motel until his death in 1974.
She moved to Havre in 1992. and resided at the Eagles Manor. In 1994, she moved to the Northern Montana Care Center where she resided until her death.
Comp enjoyed doing needle work and painting. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Navy Mothers and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Charles Durrant.
Survivors include a son, Charles Coup of Big Sandy; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
