Butte Central gets knocked from the ranks of the undefeated.

Belgrade, Anaconda, Browning, and Livingston boast a sub-.500 record.

Havre is even in the division, while Dillon and Lewistown are two of three teams with winning records.

It is the Central A, tallying wins and losses before the Christmas break.

It is the Central A, where things like "seeding points" make a difference at tournament time.

The Havre Blue Ponies, who were upset 64-52 at Glasgow Saturday, lost its second straight Tuesday night at Lewistown.

After winning three in a row, the Ponies evened their record at 3-3 on the season.

The Ponies are led offensively by Ricky Brown, who is averaging 19.3 points per game, after six contests.

Nate Baltrusch leads the team in assists, while Landen Grant has the high markers on the boards for Havre.

The Butte Central Maroons, the top-ranked team in the Central A at 4-1, were edged in a low scoring contest by the No. 1-ranked Class AA Helena Capital 49-43 Tuesday.

The Maroons, who have allowed the fewest points by their opponents, held the Bruins to their lowest offensive output all season.

The No. 2 Dillon Beavers, also at 4-1, routed Townsend 83-28 Tuesday.

Before this week's action, the Beavers averaged 72.3 points per game to lead the league.

Lewistown, the third-ranked team in the league at 4-2, fell to Class AA Billings Skyview 77-50 Monday.

However, they recovered and defeated the Blue Ponies 73-71 Tuesday.

The Belgrade Panthers (2-3) were upset by previously winless Anaconda 64-55 Tuesday.

The win boosted Anaconda to 1-4 on the season. Havre defeated the Copperheads 75-66 on Dec. 11 at the Central A Tip-off Tournament at Butte.

Anaconda averages 58.3 points per game, while allowing its opponents to score 66.3 points.

The Panthers averaged the fewest points offensively, at 49.8 per game.

Livingston, still unable to tally a win, lost to Class B Big Timber 75-59 Tuesday. The Rangers are 0-5 in the division.

Class B Conrad defeated the Browning Indians 73-69 in overtime Monday night.

The Indians (1-4) allow the most points by their opponents. They allow, on average, 72.5 points per game.

The December schedule wraps up tonight, as Dillon plays at Belgrade in Central A action.

Whitehall will play at Anaconda in non-conference action.
