It was egalitarianism at its best.
The District 9-C Hays/Lodgepole Thunderbirds scored 105 points en route to their 59-point win over the Roy Pirates in non-conference action at Roy Wednesday.
Shawn Shambo led five players in double figures, and poured in a game-high 23 points in the 105-46 victory.
The Werks and Doneys also attacked the basket all night.
Tim Werk added 11 points, Ervin Doney chipped in 18, Eddie Werk tallied 17, and Darwin Doney scored 14 points in the game.
The win lifted the Thunderbirds into second place behind the defending State Class C KG KouGars in the early season.
The Thunderbirds are 2-0 in the conference and 3-2 overall.
However, KG and Hays/Lodgepole do not meet during the regular season.
Hays/Lodgepole returns to action on Jan. 7 when it meets conference foe Turner at home.
