The MSU-Northern Lights are coming off a pair of losses, including an overtime loss to Western Montana College, but the Lights look to rebound in California next week.
Northern will head off to sunny Southern California to face Point Loma Nazarene in San Diego on Dec. 28. The Lights then travel up to Los Angeles to face Southern California Community College on Dec. 30.
The Lights still lead the Frontier Conference standings with a mark of 9-4.
As a team, Northern is scoring 99.4 points a game, which leads the league. The Lights also lead in 3-point proficiancy at 38.2 percent.
Individually, Mel Stubblefield continues to lead the conference in assists, dishing out 5.7 a game. Stubblefield also sits second in steals, and second in 3-point percentage.
Northern's Keith Carothers finds himself in five categories. Carothers is second in the conference in blocks, eighth in assists, sixth in steals, eighth in 3-point percentage and third in scoring.
The Lights have been on the road since Nov. 20. After the two games this weekend, Northern will then play Colorado Christian in Denver on Jan. 3 before returning home for their final non-conference game against the University of Manitoba on Jan 7-8.
Northern starts the conference season on Jan. 15, in Billings against Rocky Mountain and then plays their conference home opener on Jan. 20 against conference newcomer Lewis-Clark State.
