CLARENCE NACE

Clarence T. Nace, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at a Butte hospital of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Alfred Ebel officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Highland Cemetery.

Nace was born Oct. 2, 1915, in Mohall, N.D., to William and Gina (Simpson) Nace. He attended school in Mohall graduating from high school in Glasgow.

On Oct. 2, 1954, he married Lillian Miller Hamilton in Great Falls.

He served in WWII from 1942 to June of 1945. He was a paratrooper in Europe in the U.S. Army.

He farmed in the Hogeland area from 1928 to 1982. He then moved to Havre where he lived until Oct. 2, 1999, when he moved to Butte to a retirement home. He was a member of the American Legion Hogeland, life time member of the VFW Harlem, Hogeland Lutheran Church, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Havre.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter who died at birth, three brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Nace of Butte; a daughter, Shirley Erickson of Butte; a son, Richard Hamilton of Hogeland; a brother, Howard Nace of Hogeland; seven grandchildren and four great-grandsons.

Memorials are suggested to the Hogeland Lutheran Church or to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Havre.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
