CLOVIS, Calif. -- Jean O'Brien Ericsen, 49, formerly of Chinook, died Dec. 26, 1999, at her residence in Clovis, Calif., of pulmonary hypertension.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30, at Clovis, Calif. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Chinook.
Ericsen was born Feb. 5, 1950, in Havre, to Jack and Elisabeth (Mosser) O'Brien. She graduated from Chinook High School in 1975. She attended the University of Montana at Missoula and Northern Montana College in Havre. She graduated from the two-year nursing program at NMC in 1974. She received her four-year nursing teaching degree in 1993, in California. She spent the majority of her 25-year nursing career in the field of cardiac surgery and care at St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, Calif.
She married Robert Ericsen in Chinook.
She organized and was active in the Fresno Chapter of the Mended Hearts Organization, which provides support for people who are about to undergo heart surgery. She was recently voted Employee of the Year by the doctors and medical staff of St. Agnes Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Ericsen of Clovis, Calif.; daughters, Angela McNeil of San Diego and Melissa Ericsen of San Jose, Calif.; her parents, Jack and Elisabeth O'Brien of Bellevue, Wash.; and sisters, Melody O'Brien of Issequah, Wash., and Kay Johnson of Chinook.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
