Two women were incarcerated in the Hill County Detention Center after they were arrested on state felony drug charges Jan. 21.
Havre police officers, Tri-Agency Task Force agents, DEA agents and Montana DCI agents obtained a District Court search warrant on Jan. 20 for the residence in the 1000 block of Second Street The home was suspected to contain an active methamphetamine lab.
Tri-Agency Task Force agents working with state DCI agents, Eastern Montana Drug Task Force Agents and Missouri River Drug Task Force Agents, who are trained by DEA on how to safely dismantle producing meth labs, raided the home on Jan. 21.
A 36-year-old woman and another, 27, were arrested without incident at the scene shortly after 2 p.m.
Agents seized evidence that is expected to show both women were involved in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Evidence not turned over to a hazardous materials contractor from Idaho, will be sent to the state crime lab in Missoula for examination.
Criminal charges against the two women could be filed in either state district court or federal court.
About a dozen officers and agents participated at different times during the investigation.
