Mavis Y. Christofferson, 68, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at a Havre hospital of emphysema.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Holland & Bonine Chapel in Havre with the Rev. Walt Kirkegaard officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Christofferson was born July 3, 1931, at Malta, to Fay and Christine Tribby. She attended school at Whitewater and graduated from Whitewater High School.
On Feb. 6, 1948, in Malta, she married Randy Christofferson. The couple resided in Malta before moving to Chester and then to Havre in 1962.
She enjoyed crafts, sewing, cooking, fishing, camping, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Randolph Christofferson of Havre; daughters, Avis Stewart of Florissant, Mo., and Wanda Dean of Havre; a son, Randy Christofferson of Havre; a sister, Jean Grove of Missoula; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
