PETER PASSON: Obituary

Peter Frank Passon, 53, lifelong Havre-area farmer, died Friday, March 24, 2000 at a Great Falls hospital due to a heart attack.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Young officiating.

Passon was born July 7, 1946 to Frank J. and Mary Frances (Bowman) Passon in Havre. He attended Davey School, St. Judes and graduated from Havre High School in 1965. After high school, he farmed with his father and also worked for Havre Livestock.

Passon married Barbara L. Badgley Oct. 14, 1967 in Eureka. Along with farming with his father, Passon drove semi for Rex Harris Trucking in the oil fields. He took over the family farm in 1976 and farmed until his health problems prevented him from working.

Passon liked to hunt, travel, and visit and talk with people. He was active in the Havre Central Round Table and Havre Booster Club. He enjoyed watching his children participate in various sports. He also liked to read Montana history books.

Passon was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Demarise.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Havre; sons Greg of Bozeman and Dave of Havre; daughter, Shannon Ramsbacher of Havre; sisters, MaryBelle of Havre and Ursula of Billings; and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Northern Montana Hospital Dialysis Unit.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
