Margaret M. Knutson, 91, Havre, died Thursday, March 30, 2000 at a Havre hospital of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will take place at the Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell at a later date at her request.
Knutson was born April 26, 1908 to Hart and Kathryn (Mills) Ervin at Bonita, Wash. She attended school in Washington.
She married Ernest Gertson in Montana in 1923. They later divorced.
She married Cliff Knutson in 1932 in Havre. The couple lived in Kremlin, until moving to Kalispell in 1949. He died in 1970 and she moved to Havre in 1977.
Knutson was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff; one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters: Ernestine "Chris" Wipf and Donna Hamblock, both of Havre; son, Carl C. Knutson, Havre; five sisters, Rose Hofhenke of Red Bluff, Calif.; Grace Rodgers, Beaverton, Ore.; Nina Rodgers, Lynnwood, Wash.; Helen Ervin, Edmonds, Wash.; and Jean Fonburg, Clarkston, Wash.; two brothers: Raymond "Bud" Ervin, Oroville, Calif., and Bob Ervin, Edmonds, Wash.; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to a person's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
