The Chinook Sugarbeeter girls' track team placed third at the Chinook Invitational Saturday at the Havre Middle School.
The tallied 88 points with the finish.
Amber Hofeldt led the way in the distance runs, placing first in the 1,600-meter with a time of 6:06. She also finished first in the 3,200 with a time of 14:08.4.
Becky Hoffman placed second in the 3,200, stopping the clock at 15:03.1. She was also fourth in the 1,600 with a time of 6:31.
Shaina Hofeldt was third in the 3,200 with a time of 15:09.7. She placed fifth in the 1,600, clocking in at 6:40.
Katie Malsam did well overall for the Sugarbeeters, placing in the javelin (3rd), discus (4th), and triple jump (6th).
She threw the javelin 1025, the discus 958, and jumped 304 in the triple jump.
Katie Hoffman finished sixth in the shot put with a toss of 2810 1/2.
Jacy Sheppard placed third in the high jump, clearing 46.
The Chinook boys' 1,600-meter relay placed third with a time of 3:46.7.
The Sugarbeeters will be competing at the Havre Invitational on Saturday at the middle school.
