ALFRED TESKE: Obituary

MALTA Alfred R. Teske, 89, died Friday, April 14, 2000 at a rest home in Malta.

Funeral services were held April 17 at the Saco Lutheran Church with burial at the Grandview Cemetery north of Saco.

Teske was born Feb. 5, 1911, at Kramer, N.D. to Gustav and Emma Teske. He attended rural school in Star Buck (N.D.) Township.

Teske spent three years in the Civil Conservation Corps at International Peace Garden in Dunseith, N.D. After that, he farmed at Kramer.

Teske married Ruth Kohnline on April 2, 1953 at Malta. They moved back to Saco in 1954. He worked for various farmers, and at Sleeping Buffalo, Saco Dehy, and the Grandview and Reitan Cemetery. He moved into a Malta rest home in 1995.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughters, Rose Teske of Zurich and Carol Jestrab of Havre; brother, Gustav of Kramer, N.D.; sister, Esther Huber of Van Nuys, Calif.; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in California, Oregon, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
