Two members of the Havre High School tennis team will be competing at Wimbledon this summer.
Nick Heninger, son of Lyle and Jill Miller, and Kellen Malone, son of Ned and Delonna Malone, will leave New York on June 24 as part of Team USA. Eighty students will travel to London in the World Sports Exchange.
The students will watch two days of the Wimbledon tournament, then compete against an English team. They will also tour England as part of the exchange, seeing sites such as Buckingham Palace and Stonehenge.
The two Havre students said they were looking forward to the trip.
"It's always been a dream of mine to go to Wimbledon," Malone said. "I never thought I'd go this young."
"I'm pretty excited about it," Heninger said. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
Heninger said he thought it could increase the chance of being accepted to college, as well.
The two will fly from Billings to meet the other members of Team USA in New York, then fly to London. They will return on July 2.
The 80 students will receive "Team USA" warmups for competing on the trip.
They are now planning on how to raise money to pay for the trip. They said they are considering selling magazines, possibly holding a car wash, or working on people's lawns. They are approaching local businesses to see if they can do any work for them.
Heninger and Malone said they would appreciate all the support they can get in trying to raise funds for the trip.
