JAMES JOHNSON: Obituary

FLORENCE James J. "J.J." Johnson, 52, Florence, died Thursday, May 11, 2000 at a Missoula hospital of natural causes.

Johnson was born Aug. 23, 1947 in Havre to George W. and Flora Johnson. He graduated from Chinook High School.

Johnson married Connie Sharkey on Jan. 27, 1981 in Rexburg, Idaho. He retired from Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad as a mechanical foreman after 33 years of service.

Johnson enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golf, woodworking and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife, Connie of Florence; daughter, Suzanne Bonner of Lolo; son, Dan R. Sharkey of New York City; father, George Johnson of Havre; sister, Jane of Havre; brothers, William of Havre, Robert of Marysville, Wash., and Richard of Great Falls.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.
