Pat Newton has opened his home on the southern edge of Havre for the Soroptimist Home Tour close to the anniversary of his moving into the house.
Newton moved into the house, which was completed about one-and-a-half years ago, in June of last year. The 1650 square foot home has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, an unfinished basement and a two car garage.
A wide sidewalk leads through the large, beautifully cultivated yard to the front door, located in the middle of the large, covered front porch. The home sports another cover porch on the back, with a view of the Bear Paw Mountains inside through glass doors opening to the rear patio.
Large windows provide natural lighting to the interior, with textured walls painted off-white with white trim. Additional lighting is provided by recessed canister lighting. The living room and dining room are set in an "L" shape, with a counter and stools separating the kitchen from the dining room.
The kitchen has white maple cabinets with color crayon Formica counter tops and wood grained Formica flooring. A laundry room and half bath are located near the rear of the house.
Several luxurious features are included in the master bedroom. It includes a walk-in closet, a dressing area and a vanity. A whirlpool bath is another of the features of the bedroom.
