BOX ELDER Trevor J. Standing Horn, 20, died Sunday, June 4, 2000 at a Havre hospital after a lengthy battle with leukemia.
Wake services will be 5 p.m. today at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy. Traditional
Indian funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Charles Gopher officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery.
Standing Horn was born Nov. 12, 1979 to Sandy Standing Horn and Barbara Piapot DuBois in Great Falls. He attended schools in Great Falls and continued school at Rocky Boy when his family moved to Havre in 1986. He was stricken with leukemia in 1999.
Standing Horn enjoyed being with family and friends. He was a barterer and often traded, purchased and sold vehicles. He enjoyed listening to country music.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandfather.
Survivors include his father, Sandy Standing Horn of North Battleford, Saskatchewan; mother and step-father, Barbara and Joseph DuBois of Box Elder; his partner, Michelle Small of Box Elder; their two daughters, Marcella and Michelle Standing Horn of Box Elder; six brothers, Aldin Stanley Sr. of Heart Butte, Leonard Stanley of Lodgepole, Curtis Stanley Sr. of Great Falls, Harlan Stanley of Frazer, Sheldon Stanley of Rocky Boy, and Travis Standing Horn of Billings; five sisters, Loretta Stanley of Rocky Boy, Priscilla Jackson of Frazer, Chantell Stanley, Yolanda Stanley and Roberta Morrow, all of Box Elder; maternal grandmother, Bessie Raining Bird Chandler of Rocky Boy; and paternal grandmother, Theresa Applegarth of North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
Memorials may be made to Standing Horn's two daughters.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
