Diamond Auto Glass, Inc. now in Havre

By Tim Leeds

There's a new sign proclaiming a new owner of a Havre business on Second Street West.

Mike Evans and Kerry Culver, owners of Diamond Auto Glass, Inc. have purchased Mike's Glass Service at 1708 W. Second Street, across from the fairgrounds by Holt Plumbing and Heating. Former owner Mike Nicholson is remaining as the manager of the business.

Nicholson said the company's volume purchasing power is helping expand the business. He said they will have a lot more merchandise in stock, which will allow faster service without ordering for more walk-in clients. He said they also allow much more mobile service, and will be able to offer lower prices on many projects as well.

Nicholson said while he always had good tools for his business, Diamond Auto Glass has also been able to update him with the most recent and high-tech tools.

"They got me some fancy stuff," he said.

Nicholson said the better equipment allows him to do faster and better work. He said he's cut down install times considerably, making things a lot easier for his customers and for the business. He said Diamond Auto Glass will be able to get him anything he wants or needs for the business in the future to improve service.

Nicholson said other benefits to the customers include a free one-year warranty for rock chip repairs and a lifetime warranty on installation and materials for Diamond Auto Glass installations.

The Havre Diamond Auto Glass will serve the Hi-Line from Havre, reaching from Glasgow to Browning and from Big Sandy to the Canadian border. The company is Montana owned and operated, with stores in Missoula, Polson, Kalispell, Hamilton, Bozeman and Great Falls as well as the new Havre store.
