HAYS Loretta Ann Spotted Bird, 56, died Friday, June 9, 2000 at a Havre care center of natural causes of renal failure.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Mission Recreation Center in Hays with burial following in St. Paul's Mission Cemetery. Wake and rosary will be Monday at 7 p.m. in the recreation center.
Spotted Bird was born to Paul and Katie (Shortman) Spotted Bird at Fort Belknap Agency on March 27, 1944. She attended grade school at St. Paul's Mission, Hays Grade School, and high school at Flandreau, S.D.
She married Leon Lodge and they later separated. She lived most of her life in Hays, Great Falls and recently in Havre due to health.
Spotted Bird enjoyed spending time visiting with friends and family. Her hobbies included attending powwows, listening to powwow music, and playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, LeRoy Lodge; five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her son, Marvin Lodge of Havre; daughter, Candace (Young) Bradley of Havre; nieces, Karen Small of Havre, Marjorie Walker of Hays, Carolyn Night of Idaho; Yolanda, Theresa and Stephanie Small, all of Havre; grandchildren, numerous cousins, aunts and relatives.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
