Because I am on vacation this week, I am going to run only the team standings this week. I will catch up on games, batting averages, etc., after I return.
The 6th Avenue Softball Association held its last regularly scheduled meeting last week. There are still five teams throughout the leagues who have not paid their dues. Dues must be paid ASAP to Tammy Boles.
Also, for next season, if anyone has any ideas on how to better collect fees from teams, let the softball association know. It is great to see all the leagues alive and well in Havre, however, it is up to all who play to help keep up the fields nice and offer respectable facilities on which to play.
The Havre Festival Days 48-hour softball tournament is slated to be held Sept. 15-17, beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday and ending at 6 p.m. on Sunday. The fee is $50 and only 16 teams are being entered. Early registration is highly encouraged to secure a spot. Fees can be paid to Tammy Boles.
The 6th Avenue Softball Association released a revised schedule to finish up the season, which includes make-up games. See your team manager for more information.
State tournaments are right around the corner. Havre league classifications will be printed right here next week. Also, how many teams qualify for state, etc., will be available.
