Montana State University-Northern will hold its annual alumni fund-raiser on Saturday, Oct. 7. This event will feature four indoor sports: wrestling at 1 p.m., volleyball at 4 p.m., women's basketball at 6 p.m., and men's basketball at 8 p.m.
MSU-Northern will be charging $3. for adults, $2 for students first through 12th grades, and $1 for MSU-Northern student with a student ID. The proceeds from this event will fund alumni scholarships for Northern students, and in order to help keep the cost of the event low the workers have donated their time.
Among the returning alumni wrestlers that will face off against the wrestling team are: national champions Mark Lane and Chad Edgar, Mike Mazurkiewicz, Travis Rollins, and Simon White.
Alumni returning for the volleyball team include Lacy Whitright, Melanie Baack, and Schuyler Baird.
The women's basketball alumni team will boast Kari Fike Filius, Shelly Oakland Stremcha, Heather McGlothlen Wirt, Patty Franklin Weed, and Carol Hayes.
Returning to represent the men's basketball alumni will include Tim Henry, Powell Becker, Krste Serafimoske, Tim Vandermars, Shawn Wetzel, Tom Hennessy, and Donny Hall.
Following each event the Gallery will host a chili feed for the alumni athletes, their families, and MSU-Northern athletes.
