Dr. Geoffrey Gamble, new president of Montana State University-Bozeman, will spend the afternoon meeting with people from the Montana State University-Northern community Monday, Oct. 16.
Gamble is scheduled to arrive at MSU-Northern at about noon, and will hold meetings with the administration and staff, faculty and students. He will hold a forum for the campus and community in Donaldson Commons at 4:20 p.m., followed by a press conference at 5:00 p.m.
Gamble will have a short meeting with MSU-Northern Chancellor Alex Capdeville following the press conference, which will end his visit in Havre.
Gamble, 58, was selected as the MSU-Bozeman president Friday, Oct. 6. He was provost and vice president of the University of Vermont for the last two years, and was at the University of Washington for 22 years before that, ending his tenure there as vice provost for academic affairs.
The president of MSU-Bozeman is the ultimate authority for all of Montana State University, which includes MSU-Northern, MSU-Billings and its college of technology, and the MSU-Great Falls College of Technology, as well as the home campus of MSU-Bozeman.
