DANIEL HOCKETT
Daniel Jeffry Hockett, 20, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000 in Havre. Cause of death is under coroner's investigation.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church in Havre with Pastor Dorthy Nielsen officiating. Private family service for disposition of ashes will be at a later date.
Hockett was born Dec. 11, 1979 in Havre to Jeffry Robert and Jennifer (Davis) Hockett. His mother died in 1982.
Hockett attended Havre schools and graduated from Havre High School in 1998. He participated in Kenpo Karate Club and obtained the rank of brown belt.
He was a member of VICA at MSU-Northern where he attended the diesel program. He was an active member of Hockett Farms west of Havre and was a member of the Army National Guard since 1998.
Hockett was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father, Jeffry Robert Hockett of Havre; stepmothers, Cindy Hockett and Kayleen Hockett, both of Havre; sister, Michelle Hockett of Havre; brother, Tyler Hockett of Havre; stepsister, Lacey Gibbons of Havre; stepbrother, Zane Gibbons of Dillon; grandfather, Robert Hockett of Havre; stepgrandmother, Jessie Hockett of Havre; grandmother, Joyce Hockett of Havre; grandparents, Jere and Margaret Davis of Great Falls; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Hockett enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Memorials may be made to Hockett Family NMC Memorial Fund.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral.
