CHARLENE JACKSON

PORTLAND, Ore. Charlene "Babe" (Musgrove) Jackson, 78, died Oct. 17, 2000 from complications from several strokes.

No public services are planned at her request. The immediate family will be honoring her in a private service.

Jackson was born April 30, 1922 in Kalispell to Charles and Nettie Musgrove. The family moved to rural Chinook and homesteaded there. She graduated from Chinook High School in 1940.

She married Dale Hawley in 1941. He died in an automobile accident in October 1952.

In January 1954, she married Alvin Morris in Havre. They later divorced and she moved to Kalispell, where she married George D. Robertson. She worked at the Hacienda Restaurant and Coast to Coast Hardware store for many years.

She later married Arly Jackson and he preceded her in death.

She moved to Portland in 1993 to be near her family.

Jackson was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Millie, Edith and Mary.

Survivors include her sons, James Hawley and Jerry Hawley, both of Sandy, Ore., Ben Morris of Kalispell; daughters, Melodie Fleming of Lopez Island, Wash., Patty Wyler of Troutdale, Ore., Cheri Hagen of Whitefish; sister, Florence Read of West Covina, Calif.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
