JACOB BRAZER

Jacob "Jake" Brazer, 72, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000 at his home west of Havre of lung cancer.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holland and Bonine Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Alfred Ebel officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Eagles Lodge in Havre.

Brazer was born March 29, 1928 in Belle Fouche, S.D. to Balzer and Mary (Herainmus) Brazer, Sr. and grew up in North Dakota and South Dakota. He moved to Havre in 1949.

Brazer married Yvonne "Bonnie" Petty July 9, 1950 in Sidney. They made their home in Havre.

He worked for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern railroads from 1949 to 1989. He opened Brazer's Marina in 1971 and retired in 1990.

Brazer was a member of the Fresno Lake Boat Club and Havre chapter of the Eagles Lodge.

He enjoyed gardening, bowling, boating, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David, Balzer, Jr. and Henry Brazer; sisters, Katherine Anshutz and Anna Schaub.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne "Bonnie" Brazer of Havre; daughters, Norma Mariani and Karen McIntosh, both of Havre; son, Duane Brazer of Lincoln, Neb.; sisters, Mary Kelly of Auburn, Wash. and Mollie Nicholson of Havre; four grandsons.
