HELEN McCROSKEY-HEISE
Helen McCroskey-Heise, 85, died Dec. 17, 2000 at a Havre hospital of natural causes. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be held after the first of the year.
McCroskey-Heise was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to William and Nellie Pergande on April 14, 1915. She attended grade school and high school in Milwaukee and graduated from Milwaukee Downer College in 1937.
McCroskey-Heise married Robert C. McCroskey, MD in 1940 and moved to Rapid City, South Dakota in 1946 when Robert was discharged from the Navy. Robert died in 1966 and in 1984 she married William Heise. William died in 1990. She moved to Havre in 1990.
She was very active in the Rapid City, South Dakota Concert Association. She worked as a teacher and a housewife. She enjoyed cooking, her family and friends, sports and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Huston McCroskey; sister, Dorothy Hintz, and brother, William.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Zenor of San Clemente, California; sons, John McCroskey of Brenham, Texas and Robert C. McCroskey MD of Havre; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Memorials are suggested to St. Marks Episcopal Church in Havre.
