Havre wrestling coach Scott Filius may be anxious to get into Christmas break, but one hurdle remains before that rest and relaxation can begin.
Havre, ranked second in Class A, will travel to Glasgow to take on the Scotties, the top-ranked Class B team, at 6 tonight in a non-conference dual meet.
But Filius admits his team is not quite feeling 100 percent healthy.
"We've got a bunch of guys beat up and hurt," Filius said. "We're just trying to get to Christmas break."
Among those injured are Aaron Jensen (152 pounds) and Garret Hansen (160), who are both nursing shoulder strains.
But returning for the Blue Ponies will be 140-pounder Jake Szudera, who had been sidelined with a pulled pectoral muscle.
Filius said the dual meet will feature two very competitive matches at 98 and 135 pounds.
Nick Holt, who was named the outstanding wrestler at the C.M. Russell Holiday Tournament last weekend, will face a rematch against Glasgow's Josh Thompson.
Holt pinned Thompson last weekend at that tournament at the 2:09 mark of the first round to advance to the championship match, which he ultimately won with a 17-2 technical fall victory over Billings Skyview's Trevor Kaczmarek.
"The 135 match will be between the top two wrestlers (at that weight) in the state," Filius said.
At 98 pounds, Havre's Jeff Hedges will be pitted against Scotties wrestler Mark Johnson, who finished second at the Holiday Tournament.
Hedges placed third at the tournament, earning his finish with a 6-2 win over Simms' Ryan Giard.
