The Havre Blue Ponies, 3-3 as of the Dec. 27 standings, get an opportunity to tally some seeding points against the Class AA Great Falls Bison tonight.
The Ponies opened the season with a 76-62 loss to the Dillon Beavers, but won three-straight (75-66 over Anaconda, 53-47 over Chinook, and 62-55 over Fort Benton), before dropping two games before the holidays.
Havre is fourth in the division with 10 seeding points.
Dillon (5-1) leads the Central A. The Beavers have 16 seeding points, and lead the league in offensive points, averaging 71.8 points per game.
The Beavers' lone loss came to Class AA Helena High on Dec. 14.
The Fergus County Golden Eagles (4-2) are No. 2 in the division with 16 seeding points.
Lewistown was defeated by Central A foe Butte Central and to Class AA Billings Skyview in December.
The Eagles handed Havre a 73-71 loss just before the Christmas break.
The Butte Central Maroons (4-1) have 12 seeding points and are third in the league.
The Maroons were edged by Class AA Helena Capital 49-43 on Dec. 21.
Butte Central leads the league in defensive points, holding its opponents to 53.0 points per game.
Browning, Anaconda, Belgrade, and Livingston are sub-.500 this season.
The Indians, at 1-4, have six seeding points, while both the Copperheads and Panthers are 2-4 with seven seeding points.
The Rangers are 0-5.
Central A action includes, on Jan. 4, Anaconda at Livingston, and, on Jan. 7, Lewistown at Belgrade, Havre at Browning, and, on Jan. 8, Butte Central at Dillon.
