Hundreds of Montanans have traveled hundreds of miles for this weekend's State A swimming championships in Hardin and the Central A wrestling divisional in Havre.
Havre's boys' and girls' swim teams are competing for the state titles and both have a great chance to win it all.
The Blue Pony grapplers are the defending state champs and will get to display their talents for the home crowd before returning to Billings to defend their title.
Several Hi-Line Class B-C wrestlers are also battling for a shot at the state wrestling tournament next weekend. Good luck goes out to these young men who are competing in the Northern B-C divisional tournament in Shelby.
Months of work at the pool and in the practice room will pay off this weekend for the young men and women who are trying for their moment of glory.
Some will be successful in their quests. Other will be satisfied with their personal results. All will return as champions.
We also want to thank Superintendent Kirk Miller and Activities Director Charlie Klimas for opening Havre High to the state, all of the volunteers from the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce's athletic committee who will work the tournament and to the fans attending the event.
Good luck to all, enjoy the time at the events and be sure to have fun.
