BIG SANDY -- Inga Mable Oline (Blockhus) Bliss, 79, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at a Big Sandy care center of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Big Sandy with the Rev. Rich Jespersen officiating. Burial will follow at Big Sandy Cemetery.
Bliss was born Oct. 10, 1920, to Ole and Maria Blockhus in Big Sandy. She attended school in Big Sandy.
She married Alvin Foss. The couple were later divorced.
In 1947, she married Jesse Bliss. The couple resided in Helena, Cut Bank, and Big Sandy before moving to Gildford. In 1966, she moved to Big Sandy to care for her father. She was employed at the Vet's Cafe and also at A&P Cleaners.
She enjoyed baking, sewing, cross word puzzles, watching game shows and visiting with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Rosella Padilla, brothers, Clifford and Louis Blockhus and a son, Jerry Bliss.
Survivors include sons, Gary Foss of Campbell, Calif., and Jim Bliss of Manchester, N.H.; a daughter, Sue Roach of Big Sandy; a brother, Odin Blockhus of Big Fork; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Big Sandy Medical Center or the Christ Lutheran Church of Big Sandy.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
