JoAnn S. Sohm, 71, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at a Havre hospital of natural causes.
Prayer Vigil will be held 7 p.m. tonight at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Robert D. Grosch officiating.
Sohm was born June 13, 1928, in Havre, to Joseph and Ella (Nelson) Gussenhoven. She was raised in Havre and attended St. Jude grade school and Havre High School. She graduated in 1947.
In September of 1947, she married Vernon Sohm at St. Jude Catholic Church. The couple farmed south of Fresno until his death in 1990. She later moved to Havre.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, reader, crossword puzzles, camping and farm life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Maxine Dees and Jean Lyman.
Survivors include sons, Mike Sohm of Walla Walla, Wash., David Sohm of Havre and Paul Sohm of Kremlin; daughters, Patty Sohm Donoven and Jana Sohm of Havre; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Catholic Church or to the donor's choice.
