POLSON Grace Dahl Philleo, 78, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000 at her residence of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Philleo was born Aug. 8, 1921 in Havre to Severt J. and Sarah V. Dahl. She grew up and attended schools in Havre and graduated from Havre High School. She attended Sacred Heart Hospital Nursing School in Havre. She joined the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War Two and served as a registered nurse in the European Theater. She remained in the military until 1951. She returned to Montana and took a nursing position at Galen State Hospital.
On July 8, 1963, she married Franklin L. Philleo. The couple moved to Polson in 1973, and she worked as an R.N. at St. Joseph Hospital until retiring in the late 1980s.
She was an avid quilter, antique collector and was interested in the arts.
Philleo was preceded in death by her husband in 1989.
Survivors include a son, Severt Philleo of Polson; a sister, Margaret D. Fleming of Kula Maui, Hawaii.
Cremation and arrangements were by Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory of Polson.
