Frederick Earl Wetsit, 42, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at a Havre hospital of pneumonia.
Wake services started at 12 p.m. today at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Rocky Boy Cemetery.
Wetsit was born June 21, 1957, in Poplar, to Donald and Pauline (Collins) Wetsit. He traveled with his parents until he was seven when the family returned to Wild Horse North of Havre in 1965. He attended grade schools in Simpson North of Havre and high school at Havre High. In 1974, he entered into the United State Navy and served until his Honorable discharge in 1978. He returned to Havre and worked as a carpenter for various companies.
On June 3, 1994, he married Elizabeth Gopher in Havre.
He enjoyed horses, rodeos, the outdoors, camping and hunting. He also enjoyed cooking and his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Havre; sons, Joe Wetsit of Havre and John and Benjamin Wetsit of Wolf Point; his father, Donald and step-mother, Betty Wetsit of Rocky Boy; his mother, Pauline Escarcega of Wiota; a sister, Donna Ahnemann of Wolf Point; and two step-brothers, Val Parker of Brockton and Russell Parker of Poplar.
