"There are probably a dozen great bowling instructors in the country. Isn't it strange that your league seems to have 11 of the 12."
The pots took another beating Saturday night at the hands of Kathy Johnson and Shawn Mariani, just to name a few. Ken Erickson collected $50 for picking the "Big 4" split. After the handfuls of cash had been grabbed, Jackpot Gary was left with strike, $255, pill $123, and YABA $295. TOGA! TOGA! TOGA! Wear your bedding and bowl for half price this Saturday night at 8.
At this time, Sunday, 3-5, there has not been a big response to the idea of d/s in the City Tourney. I will wait one more week. LADIES if you wish to bowl, sign the sheet at the desk or there will be no shifts!!!
The final stop of the Bud Traveling League took place Sunday at Choteau. A&K Lanes played host to 33 entrants for twelve hours before seeing their own, John Noid, capture first place. Mike Christianson of Conrad was second, Ed Thompson of Choteau third, Tim LaBuda, Great Falls, fourth, and Ray Schmidt of Choteau, fifth. Brett Antley finished in tenth but made a good attempt on some very dry conditions.
Rick Cummings of Great Falls and Donna Vaughn of Conrad scored the high series of the schedule, a 727 and 663 respectively. Most improved over the stops were Cindy Vandenberg and Mike Christianson of Conrad.
Cut Bank, Belt and Great Falls have shown interest in joining the league next fall. But this is one kegler who can't wait for this season to be over, so I'll talk about that then!
I have received info on a Hdcp Doubles Tourney; Phantom Game Tourney; and the annual NIBC & NWBT Tourneys. If you would like to know more about these, contact me. Be forewarned: bowlers must wear appropriate attire, shirts with sponsors name or bowlers name are encouraged. No Hats or Caps! No tank tops, beach wear, sweats, t-shirts, short shorts, overalls, or athletic shirts will be allowed. Kinda leaves a lot of us out of it, huh?
