WILLIAM ELSE: Obituary

William W. Else, 67, Havre, died Monday, March 13, 2000 at a Havre hospital due to complications from cancer.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Young officiating. Interment of the ashes will be at the Highland Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.

Else was born Nov. 13, 1932 in Dickey, N.D. to Fred and Anna (Blow) Else. He attended country school in Marion, N.D. His father died when he was a child and in 1957, Else moved with his mother to Lebanon, Ore. While in Oregon, he worked in the fruit fields and in the auction barns. He hired out to do yard work for various people in the area. In 1981, he moved to Havre to be closer to his sister.

Else liked to walk around town or ride his bike. He visited with many people and those who knew him became his friends. He was very quiet and compassionate.

Else was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, one sister and a brother-in-law.

Surviving are his three sisters, Loretta Kirkedahl of Havre, Laverene Olson of Oaks, N.D., and Alice Cameron of Hamberg, Ariz.; brother, George of Jamestown, N.D., and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the North Central (Havre) Senior Citizens Center or the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
