Looking for great fashions then come to the Salvation Army Thrift store for the latest in cool wear.
The Havre Salvation Army conducted its first fashion show Thursday afternoon.
"It was mainly for publicity and to show the public the variety and quality of clothing that the thrift store offers," said Salvation Army Lt. Will Ware. "We have a surprisingly nice line of clothing.
"Most people are surprised when they find a nice treasure chest of clothing at the store."
Four students from the Salvation Armies Seminary training school in Rancho Palos Altos, Calif., took turns modeling for the small audience of onlookers. They sported some of the latest fashions offered by the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
"Sometimes we just don't always have a serious side to our ministry," seminary student Bill Welch said. "We did the fashion show just for the fun of it."
The students are here for a week of evangelistic outreach which includes: an evangelistic meeting, children's outreach and a children's swim party.
The swimming party was held Sunday at the city swimming pool.
