Paul Josephus Rangen, 50, assistant manager/announcer at KXEI Christian Radio in Havre, died May 30, 2000 at a Havre hospital due to heart and lung complications.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Havre High School Auditorium with Pastor John Morden officiating. Reception will follow at the Havre High School Cafeteria.
Interment of ashes will be at a later date at the North Prairie Cemetery in Buxton, N.D.
Rangen was born March 2, 1950 to the Rev. Joseph and Estelle (Stadem) Rangen in Eau Claire, Wis. He graduated from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, Fergus Falls, Minn. and Brown Institute in Radio-Television Broadcasting in Minneapolis, Minn.
On Oct. 18, 1975, Rangen married Theresa "Tess" Endrud in Mayville, N.D. They lived in Minot, N.D., where he worked for KHRT Christian Radio. They moved to Olympia, Wash. and later Salem, Ore., where he worked for KCCS Christian Radio and other Christian stations.
In 1985, he and his family moved to Havre, where he was assistant manager/announcer at KXEI Christian Radio until his death. He was a member of the Big Sandy Community Church.
Rangen was preceded in death by one niece and one nephew.
Survivors include his wife, Tess Rangen of Havre; daughter, Kimberly Range of Havre; two sons, Mark Rangen of Havre and Brent Rangen of Bismarck, N.D.; his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Joe Rangen of Fort Shaw; three sisters, Chloe Koslowsky of Anaheim, Calif., Janelle Swenson of Fergus Falls, Minn., and Miriam Patch of Vaughn; numerous nieces and nephews.
