CHOTEAU Carl M. Hanson, 43, of Choteau, died Sunday, June 11, 2000 at Montana Highway 287.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Choteau with the Rev. Jerry Olsen officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington. Cremation has taken place.
Hanson was born Oct. 18, 1956 in Choteau to Charles Hanson and Jacqueline Carlson. His stepfather was John Carlson.
Hanson was raised and educated at Choteau. He graduated from Choteau High School in 1975 and vo-tech in Helena in 1977.
Hanson worked for the City of Choteau, Dirkes Chevrolet, farmed and ranched and represented Montana when he was awarded the outstanding young farmers award in 1981 in Florida.
He was a member of American Gelbvich, Trinity Lutheran Church, and very active in high school FFA.
He enjoyed working with his John Deere tractors, steam engine work, and spending time with his family and friends.
Hanson is survived by his wife, Margaret Hanson of Choteau; parents, Jacqueline Carlson and stepfather John Carlson of Choteau; father, Charles Hanson of Missoula; daughters, Shawmarie and Carlene Hansonof Choteau; sisters, Jonel Hodgskiss of Choteau and Kim Anderson of Fairfield; brother, Doug Hanson of Ketchikan, Alaska.
Memorials may be sent to Shawmarie and Carlene Hanson at Citizen State Bank in Choteau.
Gordon Funeral Home of Choteau is in charge of arrangements.
