The Havre Comets were on the road Wednesday afternoon in a doubleheader against the Malta Mustangs.
In game one, the Comets' Doug Ireland picked up the win, striking out six Mustangs and allowing two runs.
The Comets were led offensively by Dusty Heath. Heath went 4-for-4 with four RBI. Mike Kellam also added some offense, going 2-for-4 with an RBI. Ireland and Tyler VanderMars both went 2-for-4 to help the Comets 10-run the Mustangs, 12-2.
In game two, Comets' pitcher Kellam had trouble keeping the Mustangs off the board as they put up 15 runs against the Comets.
Offensively, the Comets were held to three hits with Eric Engebritson going 1-for-2, Bob Bergren went 1-for-2, and JR Morse went 1-for-2 in the 15-5 loss.
The Comets will play at 1 p.m. Saturday at Legion Field in Havre.
