FLORENCE CHARLTON
MALTA Florence (Dyrdahl) Charlton, 83, died Thursday, Oct. 26 at a home in Malta of natural causes.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Adams Memorial Chapel in Malta with burial in Malta Cemetery.
Charlton was born Jan. 25, 1917 in Malta. She was raised in Loring and graduated from Loring High School.
She married Alfred M. Charlton June 26, 1936 in Malta. They lived in McKone City and moved to Malta in 1939.
They worked for the Fred L. Robinson Ranch for 40 years. She also worked as a waitress as Stines Supper Club, Sleeping Buffalo and the Great Northern Hotel. She retired in 1985.
Charlton was a member of the Malta Lutheran Church, Women of the Moose and Malta Senior Citizens.
Charlton was preceded in death by her husband in 1984.
Survivors include her son, Dale Charlton of Malta; daughters, Darlene Sims, JoAnn Waters and Judy Korsbeck, all of Malta, Vicki Kroll of Helena and Kathy Bebee of Havre; sister, Irene Hanson of Malta; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
